$1,000 Knox Tull, Sr. Award - Domanique Jordan of Friendly High School
$500 Book Awards - Shayma Sulaiman, Herdon High School
 
2009 Scholarship Application
The Scholarship Committee of the DC Chapter, NHAA, Inc. is responsible for providing scholarships and/or book awards to incoming freshmen from the Washington, DC Metro area who have been accepted to and plan to attend Hampton University. Scholarships are given based on a completed application and interview. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 1, 2009 and interviews will be given in the beginning of June, 2009.
The Scholarship Committee provides an average of $5,000 per year with the following Named Scholarships:
$1,500 Thomas & Elizabeth Childs Award - Bianca Strauss of Richard Montgomery High School
$1,000 Knox Tull, Sr. Award - Kirsten E.L. Banks of TC Williams High School
$1,000 DC Chapter Award - Lauren Moody of Charles H. Flowers High School
$500 Book Awards
