Welcome to the “Cyber Home” of the Washington, DC Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association, Inc. Be sure to visit us frequently to learn about upcoming chapter sponsored events; find out how you can help us to carryout our mission; and stay connected with your Hampton Family.

The Washington, DC Chapter is a family of love, respect, and networking with a fond remembrance of our days at our “Home By the Sea”. The years at Hampton University were some of the richest times in our lives where we established many life-long friends; thereby, enabling us to get in touch with a new sense of ourselves and develop a renewed enthusiasm for life and its many challenges.

As an HU alumnus, not only are you recognized as a graduate of an exemplary institution, but you are also part of an extended family that reaches out and serves the community in various ways.

The primary goals and objectives of the DC Chapter are to:

  1. Raise scholarship money for area students planning to attend Hampton University
  2. Recruit and retain local alumni as members, as well as increase the alumni donor base each year
  3. Assist the Hampton University Recruitment office in recruiting area students
  4. Work in conjunction with the Hampton University DC Parent’s Club in providing support area students

All persons having attended Hampton University (or Hampton Institute) are invited to join. By becoming an active member, keeping us apprised of your accomplishments and networking with other alumni and current students, you will continue to find enrichment from your relationship with Hampton University and members of the National Hampton Alumni Association.

We welcome all visitors and encourage their participation in the chapter as not only an opportunity to support the institution that has done so much to mold and shape our lives, but as a resource to help you get settled in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.
