Annual Hampton Ladies Luncheon
On August 5, 2006 over 160 Hampton Ladies attended the Annual Hampton Ladies Luncheon in Alexandria, Virginia. The luncheon was started over 26 years ago by thirteen Hampton ladies (12 - Class of ‘54 and 1 - Class of ’56) in White Flint, Maryland. The luncheon continues to be held the first Saturday in August. It has been held in various cities throughout the country, as South as St Croix, US Virgin Islands as far North as New York City and as far West as Houston, Texas. This year’s luncheon committee consisted of Carmela Edmunds (Chairperson), Maxine Barron, Allison Dunton, Melba Safford, Serena Taylor, Beverly Uzzelle and Joy Walker.
The next Annual Hampton Ladies Luncheon will be held in Hampton, Virginia on August 4, 2007.
